Friday, June 14, 2019 – At an electrifying ceremony at its annual conference in New Orleans, the Marketing Association of Credit Unions (MAC) announced the winners of its annual MAC Awards, honoring the top-tier of credit union marketing since 1986. Featuring judges who are esteemed experts in marketing, advertising, media, and social media from both inside and outside the financial services industry, these awards are truly a sought-after mark of distinction for credit unions across the country. This year’s awards competition honored 180 credit union campaigns as the best of the best.

UMe took home a gold in the Image Enhancement category for the Bank on UMe Campaign. This inimitable campaign features a now iconic character in Burbank, a tight-knit, unique community in Southern California. UMe’s signature UMe Emu, is a witty and wonderful 7-foot-tall, animated bird who believes big banking fees are for the birds. Featuring bold colors and patterns, the campaign is a perfect fit for this community that takes pride in its originality.
UNIFY FCU won a bronze award in the Community Engagement category for the Rams Cover Two Campaign. After partnering with the NFL’s LA Rams, UNIFY launched the “Cover Two” advertising campaign across multiple channels. As the official credit union of the Los Angeles Rams, the campaign gave members another perk of membership while incentivizing non-member Rams fans to experience the credit union difference with prize packages, benefits and other Rams’ loot for sign-ups and upgrades.
